legend of yun xi review

Terlebihdrama "Legend of Yunxi" mendapat rating 8.2/10 versi IMDb, perolehan yang sangat tinggi. Penyebabnya mungkin dibuat berdasar pada novel Poison Genius Consort (Hanzi: 天才小毒妃) karya Jie Mo, yang bercerita mengenai Han Yun Xi, gadis cerdas yang memiliki kemampuan menangani racun. Mirip profesi dokter di era kerajaan,
Forall these reasons its a solid 8.5 for me. It was entertaining to watch especially watching Yun xi able to thaw the ice and earned the prince attention and love. When the prince is attentive, acceptive of her and trust in her capabilities, he was really swoony. Those are the parts i would rewatch. Leia Mais
Legend Of Yun Xi 芸汐传 is a Chinese costume drama that was released quite some time back in 2018. I would have missed it if not for the news about The Blooms At Ruyi Pavilion which will star the same male and female leads. I know many fans are excitedly looking forward to their new drama and this got me interested to see what the hype is all about. Whether the interest has been worthwhile is reflected in my Legend of Yun Xi review below. To cut a long story short, I would say that I wouldn’t mind watching them being cast together again. But that doesn’t mean Legend Of Yun Xi is perfect either. Unfortunately, I still do have my complaints! My rating 7/10Episodes 48Type Romance, CostumeAired June 2018Images Credit IJQ TV, iQiyiThe Main Cast Of Legend Of Yun XiJu Jing Yi as Han Yun XiYun Xi is the unloved daughter of an imperial physician. What is his personal agenda?Legend Of Yun Xi Ending Spoilers Alert! After sitting through 48 episodes of Legend Of Yun Xi, you will come to an ending that is open to your own interpretation. I see it as neither particularly happy or sad because some things are left unexplained. The storyline is clear that Yun Xi has to sacrifice herself to cure Fei Ye’s Gu Poison. What is needed is the blood from her heart. So, she begged Qi Shao to help her with the cure before she killed herself. The viewers are led to believe that she died despite her magical bangle glowing when she took her last breath. There is also a scene that shows Qi Shao trying to call out to her in his semi-conscious state when a woman appears to take away the magical bangle in his possession after Yun Xi’s the same time, viewers are shown how Fei Ye and Qi Shao miss and mourn Yun Xi. In the last scene, the timeline should be more than a year after Yun Xi’s death. Fei Ye is recollecting his time with Yun Xi. Suddenly, he sees her in the garden and goes over to hug her… and the drama ends! If Yun Xi is supposed to live, we are not told exactly how she stayed alive and where she had been. Since Fei Ye is also shown thinking about Yun Xi in the last scene, it could also be interpreted as him dreaming or hallucinating since his feelings for her is so strong. Hence, the ending is open-ended in that way. You can check out my Legend Of Yun Xi episode summary for more Fei Ye Is After The Poison MasterFei Ye is actually a prince of the fallen state of Qin Xi. With the defeat, his whole family was caught and imprisoned. Emperor Tian Hui Di has a hand in the poison zombie project. All his family members were killed during the experiment except for Tang Li who was smuggled out of prison the Gu Poison inside his body, Fei Ye will turn into a zombie when the poison acts up especially when he is in a fit of rage. He is a disciple of the Poison of Northern Li – He dies of sickness. Qi Shao hates his father for the poor treatment accorded to him and his mother who was a palace Of Yun Xi Review – Kind Of PredictableThe way the story is told in Legend Of Yun Xi is that the characters’ background is revealed bit by bit. In the early parts of the drama, we see Fei Ye as a prince of Tian Ning before his back story is peeled off layer by layer as the drama progresses. So, as you watch episode after episode, you can kind of guess what is going to happen next. It is not hard to figure out who Fei Ye is or who is Yun Xi’s real father. It is not the type of drama that is suspenseful in that Romance Is LackingI know many people look forward to watch Legend Of Yun Xi for the romance. But this is not a drama that is particularly heavy on the romance side of things either. Yes, the 2 main characters fall in love but for the most part of the drama, they are either cold towards each other or apart. Of course, there is a good reason for it but if you are hoping for a lot of lovey-dovey scenes like those in The Love By Hypnotic, you will be in for a disappointment. I think Yun Xi spends just as much time, if not more, with Qi Shao as with Fei Ye. Personally, I feel they should have done more to develop the relationship between Yun Xi and Fei Ye so that viewers will be more emotionally invested in their love chemistry between Zhang Zhe Han and Ju Jing Yi is palpable which is partly why I suppose viewers are giving Legend Of Yun Xi fairly positive reviews. I have no complaints there but Zhang Zhe Han’s acting could have been better. I know it is not easy to act as a stern and distant royalty and military commander but I think Allen Ren did it quite well in Under The Power. Fei Ye’s character lacks depth in Zhang Zhe Han’s portrayal that it looks a little too superficial. I think I like him better in the modern drama, Everyone Wants To Meet You. At least, he shows more emotions there with better It For Yalkun Merxat And The PlotIf there is one good reason to watch Legend Of Yun Xi, it would be Qi Shao’s character. He can appear cold and evil with his foes but he can also be warm and endearing with Yun Xi. He speaks with his eyes and smiles. In fact, I like his character and Yalkun Merxat’s portrayal better than Fei Ye and Zhang Zhe Han’s other reason that got me to continue watching is how Fei Ye will defeat Tian Ning’s Emperor and whether he will be cured. Although most aspects of the drama are predictable, the storyline is still pretty interesting with the poison zombie angle being an important element that glues everything together. You can guess that there will be a battle between Fei Ye and Emperor Tian Hui Di in the end. You can also predict that Yun Xi would want to save Fei Ye. But as the story builds up, the motivation is there to plough on to see how the ending will be presented to the VerdictI’m not particularly fond of open endings. That is why for this Legend Of Yun Xi review, I have only given it a 7/10 rating. I don’t mind a sad ending if it fits the story because a forced happy ending would just make it unsatisfying as the drama closes. It also doesn’t have a compelling a story as Love And Destiny or The Untamed but it is still a watchable production given its interesting you like palace political machinations and power struggles, then Legend Of Yun Xi is for you. The poison zombie story also makes it a little different from the standard fare. The romance is there and is an important component to the whole plot but it is not the most attractive part of the drama for me. As I have mentioned, if the screenwriters had invested more effort into the romance, Legend Of Yun Xi could have turned out better. Viewers would then feel moved with Yun Xi’s sacrifice which is the climax of the story. But as it is, it is still worthwhile to give this drama a go. Just don’t put too high hopes on the romance part and a highly satisfactory ending if that is what you are looking for.

Mightbe going on a marathon of my old OST favorites. Thank you for all the love with The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion videos; I decided to also revisit Ju Jing Y
História Atuação/Elenco Musical Voltar a ver Quick review STORYThe beginning was interesting however the story was dragged on for too long. I ended up hating this drama. Overall I think this story was extremely boring besides the beginning. The ending is abit unpredictable but I salute to you if you even make it to the end. ACTING/ CASTING Most of the actresses are from the girl groups snh48, gnz48, star48 ect so you cannot expect much. But the acting is alright and the chemistry between couples are decent. MUSIC The songs are ok, the main lead actress Ju JingYi sang the opening song. I don't see myself listening to it after the drama. I did like the instrumental music. REWATCH VALUE I would never rewatch this because there are better dramas out there. Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Story Acting/Cast Music Rewatch Value A good Vintage piece For a 2018 drama, I feel like this drama aged fairly well. It has all the 2018 writing classic and didn't realized it was the same actors from The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion and I'm glad they got to work together again. I really enjoyed the acting from the FL, I think Ju Jing Yi is an adorable and very pretty actress. I felt like she gave really great chemistry and even though her character was up and down for me, she played it feel like Zhang Zhe Han has improved a lot from this drama. In The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion he basically had the same character role, but had a lot more emotion and depth in that one. In The Legend of Yan Xi, he was very stiff and at times I thought the drama was on pause because he never moved his eyes or facial expressions. Other than that, he was nice to look at and who can complain about the scene scenes? Of course the costume and CGI isn't up to par to what we watch now, 4 years later, but at the time, it looked pretty grand. I'm glad we have moved away from gaudy sets and more subdue looks and muted color tones. The first few episodes were hard to get through, only because the FL had to go through some hardships and I wasn't a fan of that, but towards the middle, it really picked up and I liked the antics they were getting into. I liked that she was a doctor and they were both saving course in C drama fashion, the last bit kind of gets crazy, with misunderstandings, back stabbing and lot of fighting, but that is pretty if you are a fan of the actors or don't mind a vintage piece this one is worth trying. Iwas in awe when I watched the first episode and I was completely hooked by the second. Legend of Yun Xi was really enjoyable and the amazing cast was a cherry on top. The main leads were adorable together and the story was quite interesting as well; the sad part was the ending which I guess was inevitable and you should prepare yourself for it.
Han Yun Xi Ju Jing Yi enters an arranged marriage with the king’s brother Long Fei Ye Zhang Zhe Han. Although they start out as distant strangers, they grow to respect and love one another as Han Yun Xi uses her skills as a poison expert to help her husband navigate the machinations of the court. This manor is mine. And you are, of Yun Xi Let it be said that I adore the enemies/strangers to lovers tropes. I do. When it’s well done. But you see this quote up there? Yeah? Yeah. A Good Start There was a lot of potential in Legend of Yun Xi. The arranged marriage cliché can be exceedingly charming when done well, and the lighthearted atmosphere of the show could have worked really well. Alas, the script persisted in going for the bad rather than the good, and by the time I got to midpoint of Legend of Yun Xi, I was cringing more often than not. Let me explain. While the first few episodes started out rather well with a determined heroine who, instead of going to her arranged marriage like a lamb to slaughter, has her own agenda and a male protagonist the very definition of stoic badass, Legend of Yun Xi quickly ended up resorting to eternal clichés and abusive relationships. How? Simple. Down We Go Let’s start with the main romance. While the male lead does show on occasion that he cares for his wife, the numerous occurrences of him just expecting her to serve him like some glorified slave, saying that she belongs to him, locking her up in her rooms, and so on just made me cringe so hard it was horrifying. His noble idiot moment, which we’re supposed to believe happens because he wants to protect her, is rendered moot by the fact that she has literally nowhere to go, which he’s aware of. Which brings me to the second unhealthy aspect of this supposed “romance” Han Yun Xi’s life revolves around Long Fei Ye. Every single thing she does is related to him in some way or other. When he’s not there, she’s thinking of him. When they’re fighting, she’s staring longingly at the door, waiting. When she’s hanging out with her “friends”, she’s only ever doing it so she can get something for him. She’s got nothing and nobody that’s her own, and nowhere to go should he one day get tired of her. She’s completely dependent on his good will. Ever Heard About Communication? Also, I just kept having the feeling that he whistled her to heel whenever he needed her medical skills, then sent her back to her courtyard like some sort of glorified dog. Basically, he was using her. And whenever they had an argument, she was always the one to apologize, even if the only reason she’d made a mistake was because he kept not telling her things. So many times things could have worked out so much better if he’d only just talked to her instead of just retreating into his palace of machismo to plan with his men. Romance Who? Don’t Know Her. You know what else bothered me? It’s that they never fought for each other. Every time he distanced himself from her, she demurely stepped back, and every time she had an issue with him, he turned himself into a wall of ice until the storm was gone. They never talked their issues out, only allowed them to pass and then carried on as if nothing had happened. In the end, I could never believe in that love because they just… never held on to each other. Although it’s true that Yun Xi’s entire life quickly started to revolve around Long Fei Ye, which… not healthy. As for the secondary relationship. Oh wow. I’ve rarely seen anything so blatantly abusive. The girl has been bullying the guy ever since they were children. So of course, he doesn’t want to marry her. Cue her stalking him 24/7, going so far as to drugging him and tying him to his bed so she can sleep with him not in the sex sense but still and, wait for it… tricking him into marrying her. Excuse me while I go combust somewhere. And the worst part of it all is that literally everybody around them thinks it’s normal. Not one of those people steps in, instead laughing at this poor man for being “bossed around” by a girl. A Word to Young People Everywhere Of course, he falls for her anyway. Let it be known to young men everywhere that if a girl stalks and hits and drugs you, she’s definitely the one for you. Now that I think about it, also let it be known to young women everywhere that if a man tells you you belong to him, calls you only when he needs you to do something for him, and never apologizes, then he’s the one for you, too. Deep breaths. Boring Plot-wise, well. I fast-forwarded on all of the politics, the royal harem inner wars, and prince battles—though I did take the time to feel sorry for the crown prince. That wasn’t why I was there. There were one part that I definitely would have loved to see more of, namely the white-haired supersoldiers there was one scene there that was really powerful at the beginning of the show, but the effect of which Legend of Yun Xi tragically failed to ever reproduce over the course of the next 45 episodes. It was certainly an interesting concept, but poorly developed. It was all just so… predictable. Finally, the acting was nothing to fawn over. While Zhang Zhe Han is certainly very handsome, his expression range seems limited to widening his eyes in a threatening way. In fact, his face is so stiff that it feels unnatural to see him smile when it does happen, which isn’t very often, let me tell you. Ju Jing Yi was fine, but her part wasn’t a very emotional one, and her character wasn’t that deep, so there wasn’t that much for her to demonstrate either. In fact, I think Yalkun Merxat was the one who stood out the most, probably because his boyish excitement at seeing his crush and overall playful demeanor was infinitely more endearing and sympathy-inducing than Zhang Zhe Han’s expressionlessness. I mean, I like tall, dark and broody as much as anyone else but there’s such a thing as too much, you know. Why the Love Triangle, Why? Speaking of Yalkun Merxat, I made myself silently suffer through 48 episodes of love triangle but.. I don’t get why he’s in love with her? In fact, I don’t get why Long Fei Ye is in love with her either. I mean, she’s bright and cheerful and puts up with a lot of crap but… she keeps being led around by the nose by literally everyone and their mother, remains horribly submissive to her ungrateful husband, falls into traps left and right, has to be rescued all the time… Even her medical skills aren’t her own, but came from a magical bracelet that has literally no use but to impart her with instant knowledge. Because studying is for losers, obviously. In the end, the production quality might have made up for some of this, but it really didn’t, because it was terrible. I like to think I’m nice enough as an audience, and I don’t have the sharpest eye when it comes to CGI so I’m pretty tolerant, but even I could tell right from episode 1 that the special effects were just bad. It felt like watching those old computer games from the 90s where stuff would go through walls and characters would have the weirdest movements. This was the exact same thing. The sound mixing was absolutely horrible as well. There were two episodes in the first ten where I could hardly hear the awkward and repetitive dialogue since the music was so loud, and it just feels like there wasn’t a single moment of silence after that. The music was mostly dissonant, never matching the scenes, which just killed the atmosphere for pretty much the entire show. All in All… …You might have noticed, but Legend of Yun Xi made me a teeny tiny bit angry. I was going to give it two stars because it still had a weird charm and a few cute scenes that helped me suffer through its entirety, but I’ll take one off because it was just so painful to force myself through the second half. Completed Sophia Lyn1 people found this review helpful Story Acting/Cast Music Rewatch Value To make it clear, the story line is nothing new and quite predictable. In this drama, it was really the characters that added spice and their unique traits which added flavour to the PLOTIt is quite a typical plot if you have watched a lot of historical dramas and in particular, fantasy ones involving different dimensions. So if you are just venturing into this genre of dramas, I do believe it will mostly be interesting and likeable for you guys. However, if you are not new to the scene, this drama might bore you as you would be able to generally gauge how the whole series will play out. Personally, I watched the first few episodes and it started to get bland for me because all the scheming, trickery and relationships could be guessed easily. For some reason, I just gritted my teeth and continued. Eventually, with the support of the wonderful OSTs, I managed to weather through the next few episodes. It got better mainly because of the characters and I encourage you to continue watching if you can tolerate repetition because it does get interesting. Furthermore, the world building is quite unique with the Gu-abetted men and that was a plus point for me to keep watching because it was a different angle to take in these CHARACTERSIt was the characters which made the story interesting. Each and every one of them all became so loveable to me. With Long Feiye, I adore how he is so stoic for the first half or so but I could see the progress of his relationship with Han Yunxi evident in him becoming more open with is display of outward affection. I like how he is so steady and sharp with every calculation. He really cares for his friends and family, going out of his way to help them. Yunxi is so persistent, resolute in her decisions, honest and also unknowingly cruel. I respect how she makes clear her affections for Feiye especially towards Gu Qishao but also the part in the end where she forced Qishao's hand. Overall, I believe the characters made the drama so lively and eventually lead me to feel so attached to this EMOTIONSSince I grew attached to the characters, undoubtedly the emotions would be overwhelming for me. The one that struck me the most was how painful Gu Qishao's journey through this story was. H efaced so many adversities and nothing was easy for him. The part where Yunxi forced Qishao's hand n a certain matter was acutely painful No one was there to support him and he was the lone wolf to contend with the whole process, the event prior to, the aftermath and the visuals. I realised what a cruel hand the story dealt him and I felt deep sympathy for him. The relationship between Consort Dowager Yi and Yunxi was a deeply satisfying one for me. I truly enjoyed their relationship progress and that was a true enemies to lovers trope right there. Their progress invoked so many emotions because you can see every single stepping stone they took was a wonderful one which makes me miss the drama so much more as I am writing this review a few days later. Of course, we cannot miss out the main leads of the story. Unlike the rest, Theirs was a love that is normal and beautiful in its own way but it did not make me yearn for the story not to end. In fact, it was their chemistry that made it memorable for me. They were so good working together, one person healing with poison, the other toiling tirelessly for his people. i loved that ultimately they supported each other out in the open and behind the scenes, they did even more to hold each other up, be it consciously or unconsciously. There were no jarring plot holes and their acting was also good but not memorable. I did find the first few episodes confusing as well with how it was structured to go from the present then to the past to a flashback and then replay that present scene all over the characters and their resulting relationships made the drama impactful for me and I urge you to endure the first quarter at least in order to enjoy the drama. YunXi is naturally talented in medical science and proficient in traditional medicine, but suffers from the jealousy and avoidance of others. By a stroke of fate, she marries the Duke of Qin, Long Fei Ye, and becomes embroiled in the changing politics of the imperial court.
Abandonados 27/48 Gemu no Neko3 pessoas acharam esta resenha útil História Acting/Cast Musical Voltar a ver No real suspense - can't take the characters seriously First of all, I dropped it after dragging myself through the drama since about episode has become so I likedYunxi is a lively, vibrant and forgiving character. The actress carried the show for me and made me watch on. In the beginning I didn't like her for several reasons, but either I've gotten used to it or she outgrew those reasons a male lead finally has some expressions after that many episodes. He is costumes are nice, they did a fine job with interior decorations. The rooms were crafted well. I like the way they started to weave in Dr. Gu's character, they managed to be a little more subtle about it. What I dislikedThe sound effects/ musicOmg. Who commited that crime? I'm not talking about the Intro and Outro songs, I skipped was just... NOISE. HUGE noise. When they wanted to add suspension or make a point, it seems somone thought it a good idea to let the orchestra hit their instruments all at the same time and then throw them in the trash. Repeatedly. It really diverted the attention from the drama to the off-music, sometimes to the point where you lost track of what was happening. The worst effect/music choice I've come across so far in a give it a 5, because I think the other music was at least decent. But described sound/music was the beginning there was some plot, but it gradually became less and lost traction. Now even if new plot elements seem to plop up, I feel bored about them and don't bother investing comedic relief didn't work for me. Yunxi didn't have enough funny scenes to make up for it and I started to strongly dislike Tang Li's character, who seems to was supposed to be a comedic kept it flat. The plot doesn't really happen, it's quite often only talked about and without finesse - no suspense, compared to other It can't find itself solid ground. The reasons to develop a good romance between the leads are there, and yes, there are kiss scenes included up to episode 27 and I suppose "some right scenes". But the feelings don't carry at all. The second male lead? Nope. Unfortunately they gave him too much boring screen time in scences that lead to nothing is probably my biggest misfit with this drama I can't seem to invest emotions in any of the characters but Yunxi. And I really had to warm up to her first, too since I felt she had a forced entry. The male lead often doesn't do it for me. He seems too little involved with his surroundings and some of his decisions are not what I'd expect from a male hero, even controversial. Somehow he doesn't pop out, he just looks handsome, that's it. The characters stay superficial to where the story could build rapport with the characters and viewers are often lost, when the story cuts beginning threads of thoughts or character changes off or overtheatrically ridicules CAN'T TAKE THE CHARACTERS SERIOUSLY. Also, lots of characters are really dislikable to me for too long a period of time. It's not well balanced for me to really enjoy value Maybe only the kiss scenes in a fast compilation. The prospective dragging will likely keep me from trying to finish this Mais Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Ongoing 48/48 odetodramas0 people found this review helpful Story Acting/Cast Music Rewatch Value I recommend Legend of Yun Xi wholeheartedly for one major reason - I loved the main character, Yun Xi. Yun Xi is smart, brave, kind, and skilled with poisons. The strong female lead character that I've been waiting for! I thought the actress who played her, Ju Jing Yi, did a great job. However, I have what seems to be an unpopular opinion regarding the male lead actor. I thought Zhang Zhe Han's portrayal of Long Fei Ye was boring and wooden. For the most part, he might as well have been a cardboard cutout, and when he began to show some emotion it seemed inauthentic. I understand that his character is supposed to be cold and emotionless, but Zhang Zhe Yan's eyes looked lifeless! I was still rooting for the leads' romance, but solely because I loved Yun plot was fine until the last ~10 episodes where things became convoluted. I also admittedly skimmed through a lot of the emperor and harem parts, and some of the various princes' scenes, because clearly I was here for the romance. Aside from the lead couple, I enjoyed Ning Jing and Tang Li's storyline - maybe she was a little over-the-top at times but they were a funny and cute pair. I loved Xi Feng, because I can never resist a loyal right-hand man. I didn't care for Qi Shao either way, but I disliked him in the end when he tried to make Yun Xi's choice for of the ending, I have to say that I prefer the epilogue episode 50 version of the ending. I find the actual ending too contrived. Still, overall I loved this drama and I couldn't stop watching it! Read More Was this review helpful to you?

Forall these reasons its a solid 8.5 for me. It was entertaining to watch especially watching Yun xi able to thaw the ice and earned the prince attention and love. When the prince is attentive, acceptive of her and trust in her capabilities, he was really swoony. Those are the parts i would rewatch. Read More
The first 2/3 of this show were pretty decent overall, especially if you enjoy wuxia-style medical/alchemist type stories. The cast was good and the plot, though cliche, was interesting enough. During the last 1/3, however, the plot holes, excessive pathos, contrived melodrama, and over the top acting ruined most of the story for me except for the very end.Aside from the actual storytelling, there were also some technical nitpicks which I felt were distracting and dragged down the quality of the show *Too much camera shake during overly prolonged/bloody fight scenes *Unimpressive CGI *Amateur special effects makeup *A number of reused ambient scenes *Some thin/amateur sounding musical scoresHowever, if you don't mind a bit of "camp" with your kung fu, angst and intrigue, then this might be right up your alley! And on the bright side, it does have a happy ending, so there's RATING * * * 6/10. If you feel that a love story without an invested kiss is like an egg roll without the filling, then you are likely to leave this film feeling unsatisfied. As is typical with C-Dramas of this genre, there are few hugs 5+ and fewer kisses 3-4 chaste scenes, with lots of restrained emotion and no sexual tension. However, if pure love is your thing, then this will suit you to a T. 2 out of 2 found this helpful. Was this review helpful? Sign in to vote. Permalink
